NAME: Network of Agile Methodologies Experience • A rigorous evaluation of AMs and their value in software development will provide a clear framework for planning future software development projects • If being an agile business is vital for success in a dynamic economy then the systems support for the business must also be of an agile nature • The question is: • do agile methodologies deliver this? • We have put together a research roadmap and an experience framework Giancarlo Succi

  3. Methodology • Creation a research roadmap • Creation of a common experience framework • Creation of a stronger network Giancarlo Succi

  4. Creation of a Road Map • The research Roadmap has been created, divulgated and reviewed by all the partners, by the European committee and by some gurus of the “Agile World” Giancarlo Succi

  5. Dissemination of the Research Roadmap • Presentation of the research roadmap in the major conferences and workshops • Submission of the research road to a suitable journal Giancarlo Succi

  6. Creation of a common experience framework • On the base of the analysis on XP and AMs made in the previous action line, a set of common rules to describe experiences have been outlined • A draft version of the experience framework has been circulated within the network nodes partners Giancarlo Succi

  7. Creation of a stronger network • On the basis of the identified common research topics and experience framework, a more ambitious network will be built and then proposed at the beginning of the 6th framework • This is likely to be a very challenging project that will be focused also on data acquisition, arrangement and publishing on the web Giancarlo Succi

  8. How to get the objectives • The objectives have been pursuing putting together critical mass from the Academia and the Industry, placing specific attention also to the world of consultants, who have been among the early promoters of XP and AMs Giancarlo Succi

Instruments 1/3 • Workshops and e-workshops: • to identifying core areas for future research and the key elements for the experience framework. • to review deliverables with all the associated partners • to plan next actions • Interaction with existing EU network projects • Reports available through the web Giancarlo Succi
