  1. Dear God, As I journey and dance through my life… Help me … To be Vulnerable To know that I am Beautiful in my Imperfection To accept that I am Worthy of Love and Belonging To have the Courage to be myself To Connect with others To be Wholehearted To practice Gratitude and Joy To accept that I Am Enough To live as You intended. Amen

  2. This prayer was written as a response to a TED talk by Brene Brown about vulnerability. The image of the dandelion clock speaks of a simply natural form that is innately beautiful but is often not thought of as an object to be gazed at, just walked past in the garden or meadow, or by the side of a road. It is also vulnerable to being blown about by the breeze, and yet the breeze carries the seeds away to perpetuate life. Words and image by Claudia Brown of Sanctuary 242. Sanctuary242@hotmail.co.uk Sanctuary is an intentional Christian community based in and around St Albans, England. We are a group of people who are exploring the boundaries between the rich traditions of the inherited Christian church and the challenges we face living in a modern secular society. Sanctuary provides a safe haven to explore the space around us – culture, church, friendship, family, life. Together we undertake a journey of invitation through shared understandings and explorations of bible and story, teaching and experience, fellowship and prayer, deeply founded upon the loving purposes of our God, becoming disciples of Jesus Christ to our modern world.
