  2. Objectives • To identify the skill and knowledge requirements of careers coordinators and other school and college staff to deliver effective careers education • To identify the training needs of career guidance practitioners with regard to careers education – supporting and delivering

  3. Introduction • A task oriented focus group • An opportunity to reflect on your own and others practice in careers education

  4. Task 1 • In small groups • List what careers coordinators do in that role in the institution you work in

  5. Task 2 • In your groups; • Identify the skills needed for effective management and delivery of careers education in school/college • What is essential knowledge? • What skills and knowledge do you need to support/deliver careers education in your institution?
