  4. BASICS • No requirement to cc-operate with local vendor. No geographical preference. • Legal/contractual relationship with the Prime Contractor. • Prime Contractor must be registered on United Nations Global Marketplace – www.ungm.org. United Nations Procurement Division

  5. KEY DELIVERABLES • Legal Relationship with Prime contractor; prime may flow down our T & C to subcontractor. • Prime contractor fully responsible and accountable for its subcontractors. • Subcontractors must act in line with Global Compact initiatives. United Nations Procurement Division

  6. KEY DELIVERABLES • Bid Bonds – Prime Contractor responsibility • Insurance – Prime Contractor responsibility • Liability - Prime Contractor responsibility United Nations Procurement Division

  7. KEY DELIVERABLES • Must nominate key subcontractor in their original proposal. • Must notify UN of any changes to key subcontractor. • Cannot use subcontractors who are banned by the UN. UN may reject subcontractor. United Nations Procurement Division

  8. Exception • When legally banned/very complex project. Rarely used. • All parties have to be registered on UNGM. • Bid Bonds – one/two of the parties, jointly the entire amount. • Insurance – all parties. • Liability/warranty/indemnification – jointly and severally.
