  2. The Stop Watch PRESS THE CLOCK BUTTON • Used to find the Elapsed time • . DUAL-TIMER CLOCK 14:1636 T1 T2 M S H C START STOP CLEAR SHOWS THE TIME OF DAY

  3. The Stop Watch PRESS one of timer buttons T1 or T2 • Two Timers T1 and T2 DUAL-TIMER CLOCK 00:1636 T1 T1 T2 M S H C START STOP CLEAR Shows the timer. If running press stop

Clear the timer display PRESS the C (CLEAR) Button Display shows ZERO • Set up 5 minute count down to start • Setting up the timer to count down Tap the M (Minute) Button 5 times DUAL-TIMER CLOCK 00:0000 00:1636 00:1636 00:1636 00:0100 00:0300 00:0200 T1 T1 00:0400 00:0500 T2 M S H C START STOP CLEAR YOU ARE NOW READY TO CLICK THE START BUTTON ON FIRST SIGNAL

The count down will start Next Horn when display shows 4 minutes Next Horn when display shows 1 minute The race starts with the horn when display is zero The clock continues to show the elapsed time which you will record As each boat crosses the finish. • PRESS THE START BUTTON WITH FIRST HORN DUAL-TIMER CLOCK 01:2345 00:0500 00:0100 00:0400 T1 T1 00:0000 T2 M S H C START STOP CLEAR Elapsed time for each boat recorded as Hours:Minute:Seconds

  6. Corrected Time = • Elapsed time Divided by PY x 1000 • However it simpler to divide ET by a decimal version of the PY • Eg. PY 965 use ·965 • Or PY 1168 use 1·168 • RYYC PY list will be in decimal format THERE IS NO NEED TO REMEMBER THIS ALL WILL BE MADE SIMPLE

This is used to enter the times in hours minutes and seconds 1 hour 23 mins 45 secs ÷ 1.168 23° 45° 1º 1°11°42.23 Enter 1 and our HMS Button Let me introduce the HOUR MINUTE SECOND button HMS for short This puts a ° after the one Now enter the 23 mins andHMS And then 45 seconds and HMS 1 hour 23 mins 45 secs1°23°45º We can now do the arithmetic To correct this time for a boat PY 1168 ÷ 1.168 and press = THE CORRECTED TIME IS 1 hour 11 mins 42.23 secs Recorded as 1 hour 11 mins 42 secs
