  2. Introduction • Because digitization of books has become more prominent, many scholars have questioned the effects of digitization on culture whether it is accessibility, physical, or preservation.

  3. Accessibility • Digitization allows anyone to read any book from any time without worrying about limited copies. • With greater accessibility culture can spread more easily so people can understand their culture better.

  4. Physical • There is a debate on how digital books affects people. • Some claim that there is no change between physical and digital books. • Others claim that digital books change the meaning of the book and therefore culture. • Some claim that digital books are better because there aren’t editors changing the meaning of older books.

  5. Preservation • Digital books can help preserve culture and books. • There are flaws in this system like accuracy of information. Failing to digitize correct information can change the cultural impact of books. • Digitizing books of limited copies that are old and fragile are better alternatives than risking the destruction of those books. Being preserved can help protect the book and its affect on culture.

  6. Conclusion • There are flaws in the digitization process and they can have a negative effect on culture, but as time goes on they will be solved which proves that digitization of books has a positive effect on culture.
