  2. Handmade flat-woven dhurrie is woven on a handloom with cotton and wool material. It does not contain piles and that’s why it is very thin. You can easily wash it at your home. Find some steps of washing handmade dhurries-

  3. 1) Place it in the courtyard : • First, fold your dhurrie and place it in a courtyard. You can also place it in sunlight because it contains fast color. Before placing your dhurrie in the courtyard, make sure that it is cleaned.

  4. 2) Clean it with a broom: • Take a hard broom and clean it and after that shake it. So that you can clean it perfectly. You can also vacuum it. It is the easiest way to clean it.

  5. 3) Take a solution of detergent: • After that, make a solution of detergent and warm water. Flow it on the dhurrie and scrub it by a hard brush. After that, clean it with cold water.

  6. 4) Leave it for Dry: • Make sure that you dhurrie is cleaned properly then places it in sunlight an leave it for 1 or two days. So that it will completely dry.
