  1. Jute Rugs Are Eco-Friendly Fiber for Modern Products Jute, the ‘Golden fiber’ as generally known, is the 2nd most important fiber after cotton because of its reasonably priced pricing and eco-friendly attributes. Partially a textile fiber and partly a wood, it falls under the category of Lingo-cellulosic fiber. High moisture absorption capacity, elasticity and drainage properties are the features characterizing jute as an eco-friendly fiber and so jute products are measured as ecologically acceptable by the environmentalists. Advantages enjoyed by jute products over other fibers are plentiful availability and bio-degradable properties. Rug house – the name conventionally attached to products. Since the ancient times the women folk of New Zealand have been using jute products, basically for household storage. Today, Rug house is the chief manufacture of the products in New Zealand.

  2. For centuries jute has been linked with flexible packaging, chiefly sacks, shopping bags and coarse door mats. And that’s it – there ends the area of jute products. Jute mats, clothes, and wall hangings were out of human range of imagination then. But at present multiple and flexible jute products are creating an international market, resurrecting after it lost to synthetic packaging during the 1970s. In its ‘second coming’, the range has increased manifold and it increase from the packaging trade to the fashion industry. Jute rugs, attractive wall-hangings and tapestries, garden pot hangings, decorative hand bags, bed spreads, cushion covers, shopping bags, etc, etc….the range of products is ever increasing and under continuous managing.
