  4. PROGRAM STRATEGY Requirements • Follow workplace application not qualification fields - person focussed • Must work within the rules of the Training package • Must clearly map the clustering and integration for control and audit purposes - use matrix for this

INTERGRATING ASSESSMENT 3 projects reflect workplace programs from request for training to final review • One Group Based Program • Two RPL and Individual Work- based Gap Training program • Three Individual-work-based program • Across the 3 projects - provides evidence for all 14 units - use checklists for each project

INTERGRATING ASSESSMENT Practical Assessments • Group Based Sessions 1, 2 and 3 • RPL assessment and GAP training session (OHS focus) • Opening and Closing sessions - Individual Work-based project • Assessment tools collect evidence for environmental, assessment, generic skills units as well as the delivery units

  7. UNIT ASSESSMENTS Assignments - also used to monitor performance • DES401 - Training Packages • ENV401 - VET • ENV402 - Inclusivity - “In My Shoes” • ENV403 - OHS • VBP894 - Generic Skills Folio - additional evidence

  8. PROGRAM STRATEGY Advantages • Reflects workplace processes and teaches in logical order • Extensive use of templates allows learners to progress more quickly • Produces a range of competency evidence across all units • 3 projects folders become student resources

  9. PROGRAM STRATEGY Advantages • Employability Skills are easily demonstrated • Flexible and open to contextualisation for the participants • Templates and assessment checklists streamline assessment decisions • Allows practice in program development

  10. PROGRAM STRATEGY Disadvantages • New learners cannot be brought in after about 4 weeks • Need to identify which sessions an RPL student doesn’t need to attend • Students leaving the program - identification of competencies for unit statements of attainment
