  1. DFCCIL and IR Dedicated Freight Corridor is divided in two parts- 1.EDFC- New Dankuni to New Chawapail (1856km) 2.WDFC- JNPT to New Dadri (1504 km)

  2. North Central Railway alignment with DFCCIL Part of EDFC from Mughalsarai to Dadri (791 km) falls under Allahabad Division of North Central Railway. In view of Commissioning, Part of EDFC from Mughalsarai to Dadri has been planned in three phases. 1. EDFC-1- Bhaupur to Khurja (343km) 2. EDFC-2- Bhaupur to Mughalsarai (402km) 3. EDFC-3- Khurja to Dadri (46 km)

  5. Status • Connectivity from DFC to NCR at Khurja has been commissioned on 27.11.2018. • Connectivity from DFC to NCR at Kuberpur has been commissioned on 05.10.2018.

  20. Future Scenario of Freight Traffic • PFT Traffic is expected to increase due to reduced transit time ; • Container Traffic is expected to increase due to reduced transit time ; • Good Shed Traffic is expected to increase due to reduced transit time . • RORO Traffic is expected to come.

  21. Traffic of New Sidings and due to expansion :

Continued • WTR will increase ,thus, availability of empty for loading will increase; • Loco turn round will improve; • Long haul trains can be run on DFC by making arrangements at I/C points; • Terminal capacities will have to be increased for handling rakes at unloading points/Loading points ; • Upcoming power houses/sidings should be planned connection with DFC

  23. Future Scenario of Coaching Traffic • 40 to 50 pair of trains(New+ Increase in Frequency) are expected to be added • Suburban trains will find space • Pilgrim circuit will be strengthened

  24. Operational Issues • One Emergency connection needed every 200 km; • Issue of loco change, if any ; • Crew management at interchange points; • 25 ton axle load transportation; • Critical Section from Karchana to Bhaupur is needed immediately.
