A healthy diet is a balanced diet.

(Eating nutrients from a variety of foods)

  • Less fat

  • Less sugar ( 4 things to remember)

  • Less salt

  • More fibre.

  • Too much fat = Obesity / Coronary heart disease, diabetes.

  • Too much salt = Hypertension- (High blood pressure)

  • Too much sugar = Tooth decay, obesity, diabetes.

Too much saturated fat blocks the arteries up and leads to CORONARY HEART DISEASE.

The build up of fat prevents oxygen rich blood being pumped along the arteries to and from the heart.
