  3. PM1703M (back cover) • GM tube (in latest model only) located here • Location of the centre of the CsI crystal • Battery Compartment • 1 AA battery • Correct direction for battery insertion shown

  4. PM1703M Display • Counts Per Second (cps) display “ s-1” or Dose Rate display – switchable with mode button • “ s-1” mode: number per sec + Uncertainty in % • Dose Rate mode: unit microSv/h + Uncertainty (%)

  5. Working with the Polimaster PRD • Switching On: press and hold mode button until instrument shows reaction: • test of alarm indicators (LED, sound, vibration) • Display check, firm ware version • Battery check (“batt”) • Device self-test (“test”) • background measurement (“cal”) is taken for 30 seconds • afterwards pager is ready for use! • Working with the radiation pager: • Monitoring mode: wear the pager on the belt during your normal activities • In case of an alarm by the pager, it automatically goes into Search Mode • Switching Off: • Press and hold light button until pager is switching off

  6.
