Gentle World Inc., a community formed in 1970 and established in 1974 is located in Kapaau, Hawaii.Thispresentation is going to give you more of an inside look at what this community has to offer. Gentle World Inc. Purpose of Gentle World Inc. • One of the main purposes of Gentle World Inc. is to teach the public how to live more harmoniously with nature, animals and each other. They want people to understand that we use the earth so much that we need to treat it with respect. Educating the public • Gentle world Inc.’s other main purpose is to educate the public of the importance of veganism. The leader of the land wants members to go vegan as a way to show respect to mother nature. All members are vegans so that they may live a more healthier and happier lifestyle.

  2. Better lifestyles • The individuals learn about a more sustainable, communal, self- sufficient lifestyle for their own well being. Kids are taught to live more healthily and to live better on their own without parent help. • Government • The government consists of one leader that controls the area. The leader lets members suggest decisions on what should happen for the community. In the end the most reasonable decision is picked. • Land and Building • The area is rural and over 450 acres. It is owned by the individuals who live there. Also individuals are not allowed to have cohousing because it is not the best living decision for the community.

  3. Social factors • The people of Gentle World Inc. have common spiritual practices in evolution of self. Members believe in evolving physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. Evolving physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually can help you get in touch personally with yourself and nature as well. • More about the community • Gentle World Inc. is a nonprofit educational organization. A goal of the organization is to become a more peaceful society. They are reaching the goal by teaching individuals about veganism. • Labor and Money • Everyone who works towards achieving the goal of a more peaceful society at Gentle World Inc. is a volunteer. The labor contribution is much needed for the success of the community. Also everyone supports his/herself financially.

  4. Food • Most of the food is grown in a vegan-organic garden made by the members. The percentage of food grown is 21-50%.The community shares nearly all dinners with each other. Also for those who are turning vegan, the community offers free cooking classes, consultations and meals. • Population • This nonprofit organization is always open to new members. If your looking to live a better lifestyle, Gentle World Inc. will welcome you with open arms. To become a member you must believe in following the spiritual practices and becoming a vegan to reach the goal of a peaceful society. The community is very serious on respecting the earth and all nature within it. To live more harmoniously with nature, join Gentle World Inc..
