Project IDEA(S) & project background • National/regional priorities in Call VI • How your project ideas are coherent with national& regional priorities: Yes/No and How? • Problem statement /NEEDs Analysis: • Bring facts and figures. Level of impact. • What your project ideas are in lined with current policies of government entities. • Indicate WHY, by WHOM and HOW something will be done • What has/have been done before or in existence in the core areas of your project ideas. NB: No double funding!!! • Who target groups/stake-holders of your project are? • What will be the outcome (s) of this project?

(Disciplines: Education/pedagogy, Law, Good governance, Water, Energy, Environment)  University management and student services  Introduction of quality assurance  Institutional and financial autonomy and accountability  Development of international relations  Development of partnerships with enterprises  Knowledge triangle: education-innovation- research  Qualifications frameworks

How to Avoid MOST common mistakes Remember that only information presented in the application will be assessed Do not assume prior technical or “historical project related” knowledge on the part of the assessor Avoid from general concepts and statements. Be precise and explicit with your statements/remarks in the narrative of your project. Use available spaces wisely. Put everything in a good structure. Use bullet points to constitute equally important aspects of your proposal Many proposals fail to make clear and well structured needs analysis

Some remarks on how to make project proposal sound and strong Brainstormingwhile preparing your application Proofreading byexternal reviewer Be clear (avoid abbreviations/acronyms and patchworks – copy/paste) Fairrole sharing Visibility and sustainability Use available spaces in e-application form wisely

TEMPUS PARTNER SEARCH FORM(to be completed in English) Partner Country General Information about region/town Name of university Website Brief description of university, faculty, department, number of students Relevant information on previous or on-going international cooperation Contacts of responsible person: name, title (Mr,Mrs, Dr, Prof), position, telephone, fax, e-mails Type of the project (SM or JP) Area of project Curriculum Reform (CR), Governance Reform (GR), Higher Education and Society (HES) Subject area/academic Discipline (see Annex 6) Relevance to national or regional priorities Brief need analysis Objectives and activities Target groups and Stakeholders (enterprises, Student organizations, for SM -Ministry of Education and Science of Kyrgyzstan) If possible information about other HEIs in Kyrgyzstan to be involved in project

  12. When to start project application • As early as possible • Set a realistic time-frame for project preparation (including reception of Mandates from partners) • Get information on technical requirements for on-line submission as early as possible • Establish methodology: who will develop what part (narrative, financial, attachments, etc.) • Decide on the communication strategy • Decide WHO will write the draft; complete the eForm; submit the eForm and attachments
