  1. Performance of Fox 10 Vs Staph. aureus DHM (Sydney), Gribbles (Melb.) Used Fox 10 since Jan 05 (> 1000) Borderline strains tested for mecA gene Results: 100% agreement between CDS test and mecA gene detection

  2. Penicillinase producing S. aureus, resistant to penicillin, susceptible to methicillin/cefoxitin, erythromycin and gentamicin.

  3. Non multiple resistant (NMR) MRSA, resistant to penicillin, methicillin/cefoxitin, erythromycin, susceptible to co-trimoxazole.

  4. Penicillinase-negative non multiple resistant (NMR) MRSA on Sensitest agar, susceptible to erythromycin and tetracycline, resistant to methicillin/cefoxitin, and appears susceptible to penicillin and oxacillin. Report as R/ Pen, Met.
