  2. Lent Day Two Lent is a time to be quiet and still. Jesus went into the wilderness to be quiet and still. Lent can be a wilderness time for us, a special time when we can spend moments away from the busy day.

  3. What happens when you get too busy? • Too busy to listen. • Too busy to talk. • Too busy to think. • To busy to take time to......

  4. What are you too busy doing? • Watching TV • Playing with your Play Station • Arguing • Fighting

  5. Ash Wednesday Day Three (This lesson is a preparation for the ritual of distribution of ashes.) Ash Wednesday is the first day of Lent. Lent is a time when we - • turn away from all that keeps us from God • turn towards God in a special way

  6. We wear ashes on our forehead as a sign that we are followers of Jesus who are making an effort to follow Him more closely during Lent.

  7. Turning Towards God Turn away, turn away from too-busy-ness. Be quiet, be still and pray Turn towards God in the wilderness. Turn, turn, day by day.
