Vision Through Outstanding Teaching, Research, Outreach, Scholarship, and Graduate Instruction the Department of Counseling and Education will be Nationally Recognized as a Leader in Data-Based Studies on How To Apply Instructional Technology to the Fields of Counseling and Educational Psychology. The Department Will Also Excel in Preparing Future Leaders in Counseling and Educational Psychology, Especially for Schools, Communities, and Institutions of Higher Learning.

Performance Measures • Counselor Preparation • CEP Student Counselor Preparation Examination (CPCE) Scores Almost One SD Above National Means • Mean Scores of CEP Students Exceed the National Mean Score in Each of the CACREP Standard Areas • National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC) confirm CEP Graduates have an Above Average Knowledge of Counseling Profession Compared to Other Graduate Programs.

Performance Measures • Job Placement and Salary • Of 65 Graduates (2002-2004) • 93 Percent Found Employment in Schools, Colleges, and Agencies • 89 Percent in Counseling Careers • Annual Salaries Range from $20,000.00-$70,000.00 • Six Counselor Education Ph.D. Graduates Secured University Positions • Educational Psychology Ph.D. Graduates are also Faculty Members at the University Level

Performance Measures The Department Continues to Have Increasing Enrollment in Graduate Programs and On-Going Increases in Ph.D. Level Students Enrollment Gains Attributed to Enhanced National Reputation of Programs and Faculty Due To Strong Research and Publication Performance (Faculty, Students, Alumni) • High Level Performance Despite An Under Funded Faculty of 4.17 FTE • FY03 Actual to Budgeted Faculty (12.80 to 16.17)
