Investigation of Biochemical Defense Mechanisms in Beech Trees

Workshop meeting in Ljubljana where participants Karin Herbinger, Klaus Remele, Maria Müller, Dieter Grill, and Michael Tausz from the Institute of Plant Sciences, University of Graz, Austria, present their investigations on biochemical defense mechanisms in beech trees. The study includes analysis of the ascorbate system, glutathione system, tocopherols, chloroplast pigments, and chromosomal damages. The research is conducted on adult trees and saplings from May to October 2003-2004.
