Kluwer founds his own publishing house in the Netherlands Office in Heidelberg opened. International focus: Springer New York, Tokyo, Paris, Milan, Hong Kong, Delhi…. Kluwer acquires Martin Nijhoff and D. Reidel in the Netherlands. Founding of Kluwer Academic Publishers (KAP). Kluwer acquires Plenum Publishers in USA.
