  2. volcanoes • Volcanoes are all around the world. Volcanoes are full of hot magma. When a volcano erupts ash comes out and fills the air. Volcanoes are very dangerous and they can kill people.

  3. What is a volcano? • A volcano is an opening in the earths surface. They have a cone shape. When they are active they can let out gas, ash, and hot magma escape in a violent or spectacular way.

  4. How does it look when it erupts? When a volcano erupts it has mushroom clouds all around it, they call them mushroom clouds because they look like mushrooms. It also looks like fire works when the volcano erupts. Volcanoes also look like fire coming out of a mountain.

  5. How do volcanoes erupt? • A volcano erupts when the magma in the earths surface builds up enough pressure that it cracks the crust and bursts out the opening. Once the magma starts coming out of the volcano it is called lava.
