  3. Cooking over the fire -The settlers could not put their pots and pans directly onto the coals. -The bled of coals at the bottom of a fireplace was used for frying eggs pancakes fish and meat.

  4. Preseriving food Meat and fish were striped in to thin slices. Dried Apples were favourite winter Treats. dried food could be stored and eaten later.

  5. Plenty of food -pioneer people Hunted animals such as cow pig and goat. -They grew fruits and vegetables also grains. -pioneer people caught fishes in lakes and rivers .-herbs added tasty flavers to stews and meat.

  7. The most important room -The kitchen with it's fire place was probably the most important room in the house. - The settlers slept in their kitchen where the fireplace was the settlers slept their because it was the most important room also it's important at winter because it's cold

  8. In the kitchen -Pioneers use table board to chop food like some vegetables.

  9. Ovens and stoves -they use ovens To make bread the bread oven was first filled with hot coals then the bricks get heated and the bread get's ready.

  10. Kitchen facts -The settlers had to bring in their water from the near by stream. fat.
