Once upon a time, there was a boy named Landon. He went for a walk in the desert.
Meanwhile, a family of camels left for a walk in the desert as well.
Soon, Landon came upon a camp with some tents and a pathway leading somewhere else.
On the tree was a blanket. Landon reached for it to put it on.
“This blanket is too rough!” cried Landon. So he kept walking.
He came across another tree with another blanket. He reached for it and put it on.
“This one is too soft!” cried the little boy. So he kept walking.
“This one is just right!” He said. But when he looked down, he realized he ripped it. So he quickly ran off.
Inside was a bed. He lay down to take a nap after his long trek, but he said, “This bed is too hard!”
He went to the next tent and lay down on that bed but he cried, “This bed is too soft!”
Finally, he entered the third tent and lay down. “This one is just right!” he said, and he fell asleep.
Now, the family of camels returned from their walk and saw some footprints.
Daddy camel got to his tree and found his blanket lying on the ground in a heap.
Mommy camel found her blanket lying on the ground in a pile as well.
Baby camel found his blanket hung on his tree, but there was a rip in it! “My blanket is ripped!” cried baby camel.
“Someone has been lying in my bed too!” screamed mommy camel.
“Someone was lying in my bed too, and they are still there!” cried baby camel.
Landon woke up from his sleep and saw the camels looking at him. He screamed and ran out of the tent…..
…into the desert and never returned to the home of the camels.
The camels never saw little Landon again and lived peacefully from then on.
