  1. Math, my favorite subject By: Kayla 9 9=81 Mathematics

  2. Addition This is the girl Smurf. You can use her in math. You can use her in math by counting how many girls are in Smurf land and how many boys. You can add girls plus boys and see how many smurfs are there in smurf land.

  3. You have 9 gumballs left Subtraction 9 7 5 3 1 It helps us in real life because if you have 20 gum balls and ate 11 you can subtract to see how many you have left and save them. 4 6 8 2 subtract these 11 gumballs From 20 gum balls. 9 1 5 7 2 11 3 4 6 10 8

  4. 1=9 9 2=18 • 3=27 9 4=36 9 5=45 9 6=54 9 7=63 • 8=72 9 9=81 Multiplication If you memorize your multiplication tables it will help you in math.

  5. See it is 9 times 9 = 81 81/9=9 Division This can help you in math because it helps you in multiplication and long division.

  6. Long Division Long division is very helpful because it makes 1234/654 easy to divide. Long division has something to help you and here it is : D dad (division), M mom (multiplication, S sister ( subtraction), B brother (bring down), R for rover (repeat or remainder). I gave you the order to do long division.

  7. Fractions Fractions have a numerator which is the top number on a fraction. Under the numerator is a line that stands for division. Under the division line is another number that is called the denominator. Fractions can be an improper fraction and it also can be a mixed fraction. 5 This is what a fraction usually looks like. = I ate 5 pieces of pizza out of the 8 pieces of pizza. 8

  8. Improper Fractions An improper fraction is a fraction that has a bigger numerator , so you can’t divide it, and if you can’t divide it, it is Improper. Improper fractions can go into simplest form and become a mixed number. See the numerator is bigger than the denominator. 15 8

  9. Mixed Fractions Mixed fractions have a whole number and a fraction. You can make it into an improper fraction by multiplying the whole number with the denominator. After you found it out add the numerator. The example below shows that if you memorize your facts this will be easier. You always keep the same denominator. 6 56 10 10 5=50+6=56 5 = 10

  10. Graphs Graphs help you in school because you can use the data for median, mode and stuff like that , also you can use it for fractions. There are different types of graphs and here are some of them: Pie charts, line graphs, and point graphs. This is a pie chart.

  11. Hope you enjoyed it. I also hope that you are a math lover because of this power point.
