What Is a PLN or PLE? • PLN is an acronym for personal learning network • PLE is an acronym for personal learning environment and is the tool/online space that you create your PLN in Twitter, Moodle, Ning, Diigo, Google Reader, Blogs, Wikis,Google+ • Characteristics of a PLN • A Personal Learning Network (PLN) is the collection of people with whom you engage and exchange information. • They are the group of people who contribute to your knowledge and understanding of topics in your field and beyond. • PLNs extend your learning through increased reflection, while enabling you to learn as part of a global community. • Networking online and finding individuals with whom you share connections or whose interests you share in common Stephanie Dulmage
