  2. Bylaw 4 - Duties of Membership • General • Responsible for attending all meetings. • Member to please notify the Chair if they are unable to attend a meeting. • May be replaced through by-election if the member has missed three meetings without just cause.

  3. Bylaw 6 - Code of Conduct • General “The effective conduct of Education Council business is contingent on Council members fulfilling their roles and responsibility with the highest standards of conduct. The following outlines the duties demanded of members of Education Council.”

  5. Bylaw 7 - Conflict of Interest • Seats on Education Council are positions of trust. Therefore, members are obligated to avoid situations of conflict of interest.

  8. Program Cluster Committees • Purpose • To provide program staff in specific curriculum areas to discuss common outcomes, curriculum needs, and resource priorities. Program Cluster Committees will follow processes identified by Education Council for course/program evaluation, course/program changes, and new course/program curriculum.

Program Cluster Committees • Major Functions • Contribute to educational planning by submitting recommendations to Education Council committees for review. • Review course objectives and evaluation criteria. • Identify common resource requirements. • Prepare recommendations for admissions, pre-requisites, advanced standing, and evaluation. • Identify requirements and opportunities for curriculum development. • Recommend course specific entry level criteria for student success.

  10. Program Cluster Committees • Meetings • Minimum of four meetings per year. • Two must include all program areas within the cluster. • All cluster meeting minutes must be sent to Education Council.
