How Is God’s Word Like Fire? • God’s Word gives light (Psa.119:105; Acts 26:12-20). • God’s Word comforts us and provides warmth (Psa.119:50). • God’s Word penetrates (Heb.4:12; Eph.6:17; Acts 2:37; 7:54). • God’s Word purifies (John 15:3; Eph.5:25-27; 1 Pet.1:22). • God’s Word destroys (2 Thess.1:7-9).

  3. God’s Word Needs To Burn Within Us! This is the teaching of Scripture itself! The Bible Teaches This Explicitly Psalm 119:11 James 1:21 Colossians 3:16 The Bible Teaches This Implicitly Psalm 1:1-2 Job 23:12 “But His word was in my heart like a burning fire…”
