  1. How To Ride A Horse(: This Is Awesome!!!!

  2. First You Need Your Catch Your Horse • Catching your horse may be the hardest part. • Slowly walk up to him/her and either grab the halter and attach the lead rope or put the lead rope around it’s neck. • When you’ve got that done it is time to saddle the horse up. • Put the bridle and the reins on the horse. • Once the horse is saddled it is time to mount him/her.

  3. Make Sure You Are Able To Ride Comfortably. • Once you are in the saddle you need to check your stirrups. • If they are not correct you need to either raise them up or lower them down to where your legs rest comfortably. • If the saddle is not on right you will feel like you are leaning sideways you will need to fix that to where you feel like you are upright. • Once this is done it is time to get started!

  4. Time To Ride!!(: • Nudge your horse with your heel to get it moving. • Hold the reins loosely. • Keep a good grip on them though. • Keep your body relaxed but pay attention to what's going on around you.

  5. When On The Horse…. • Keep your body relaxed but pay attention to what's going on around you. • Know who and what is around you. • As the horse moves you should be moving with it. • Stay with the rhythm of the horse.

  6. Then Finally Slowing Your Day Down To An End.. • Gently pull back the reins. • Ease your horse to a stop. • Tie your horse up. • Get off the horse undo the saddle and bridle. • Put the saddle and bridle up. • Then put your horse up. • Finally make sure the horse has plenty of water.

  7. You May Be…. • You may be sore if this is your first time riding. • Your legs may feel funny. • But in time you will get used to the feeling!!
