Superconducting properties of mgb 2 thin films fabricated by ultrasonic spray pyrolysis method

  • MgB2 superconducting nano-sized powders have been successfully prepared by 2.4 MHz Ultrasonic Spray Pyrolysis (USP) system using H3BO4 and MgCl2chemical solutions.

  • The average grain size was found to be 77 nm. The best superconducting property was obtained to be 39.3and 38.1K for Tc and Tzero, respectively. The Jmag results obtained from the M-H curves were found to be 2.83x106 A/cm-2 which is quite comparable with the commercially available high purity MgB2 powders.
