  1. ‘Reading is like dreaming with your eyes open’ TALLEN’S FAVOURITE 5 BOOKS

  2. 5 ‘ If you are interested in stories with happy endings, you would be better off reading some other book.’ A Series of Unfortunate Events was written by Lemony Snicket. There are thirteen books in the series but I am commenting on the first one. There are three siblings, Violet, Klaus and Sunny Baudelaire. They are orphans and throughout the series they are unlucky. Their parents died because the house that they were living in was set on fire. The parents were secret agents. The man with the eye tattoo set fire to the house because he wanted the fortune that the parents left behind. It is a strange story which is different from all the other books I have read.

  3. 4 “If there's anyone who can appear before Aslan without their knees knocking, they're either braver than most, or else just silly.” The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe was written by C.S. Lewis. This book is the secondone in the series. The story begins in the 1940’s when four children are taken to a country home. Their names are Lucy, Edmund, Peter and Susan. Lucy found the wardrobe while they were playing a game of hide and seek. A whole new adventure starts where a lion is trying to reclaim Narnia. The fight for freedom. I like it because it is an adventure book like no other.

  4. 3 “Her other mother smiled brightly and the hair on her head drifted like plants under the sea.” This book is about a “different” girl called Coraline Jones. The author is called Neil Gaiman. Coraline has to move to a block of flats in some remote place. One of the flat owners has a mice circus and the other has an opera house in one room! She finds a door that leads to another world where the people have button eyes. Coraline’s other mother wants to sew button eyes onto Coraline. This is where it all starts. This book scared the life out of me…..

  5. 2 ‘Standing on it, in worn overalls and a wide-brimmed hat, was a little man about the size of a pencil.’ The Spiderwick Chronicles was written by Tony Diterlizzi and Holy Black. The main characters are the Grace family, the twins Simon and Jared and their older sister Mallory. They find that they are living in the house of Arthur Spiderwick,an ancestor. He was friends with small and big monsters. Thimbletack is a browniewho was Arthur Spiderwick’s friend. He was trying to defend his friends from the wrath of Mulgarath who is a evil shape shifter. They all after the field guide a book that contains everything.

  6. 1 “Anyone can speak Troll. All you have to do is point and grunt.” Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire was written by J.K. Rowling. This is my favourite book because there was so much adventure in it. There are a series of events that Harry had to take part in. There were so much packed in one book that I couldn’t put it down! The events Harry had to do were very difficultlike to take an egg from a dragon’s nest. He had to also rescue a boy called Cedric but I am not saying what happened after that!
