  1. Supporting Development in Math & Science Science/Math Observation Task (part A) Observe a Science or Math lesson, write a summary of the lesson and evaluate it using the following questions as a guide. • Write a short summary of the lesson. I was confused between math and science . Because I like a lot and also it is enjoyable , I will attend class mathematics and seeing . Then I will write here the summaries of the math lesson . ( Math lesson ) Ms.KhadijaAlKas began the class by making sure all the student that they do the homework . Then she confirmed that all student write the right answer in the homework by check it together . Next , she did a short warming up that is connect between last lesson and new lesson and that is help student to attract their attention in the class even to know the title of the lesson . Now , after she did the worming up , she explanation the lesson an gav the students paper questions to make sure that they understanding the lesson or not ? At the end of the lesson teacher give student the summary of the lesson and what they learn . Even rang and the lesson ended .

  2. Was the lesson inquiry-based (5Es)? Explain. • Ms.Kadija used 5Es I her math class. • First , she uses engage by using power point during the lesson and the student become interested in . She gave the students enough time after the lesson to invitees students to raise their own question also invites students to express what they think . • Second , she use explore . She gave student a warning up activity and that is encourage student to student interaction also they explore the title of the lesson . At the middle of the class , student try different ways to answer a question . • Third , she use explain . • She explain for student how to solving integrations through area . • she asks question that help student understanding . • she explains area concepts and gave them area code for each shape . • Fourth , she uses elaborate . • Communicate their understanding to others . • encourages students to use what they have learned to explain a new event . • Fifth , she uses evaluate .. And this is one kind of the basic process skills . • Evaluate student when hey answer question if that is right or wrong . • Ms.Khadija uses also the basic process skills like observing and analyzing .. • She analyze the question with student . How did the teacher scaffold during the lesson to help students to think about the information for themselves? The teacher give student instruction for how to answer question by steps . help student if they have a question .

  3. What kinds of questions did the teachers ask? What is the answer of this question .. How can you conversion from … What daily or routine activities does the class participate in to learn or reinforce science and math concepts and skills ?? Calendar … when the teacher entre the class . She asks what is the date today and that is reinforce math concepts . Open the book and this requires knowledge of page number . Temperature .

  4. Reflect • In what ways was this lesson similar to and different from the inquiry approach discussed in your college classes? • Why do you think the teacher used the format that she did? • What are some of the benefits of inquiry-based learning? • What are some of the problems of inquiry-based learning? In my opinion , I think many similarities between this lesson and collage classes . Both of them used a new approach to deliver the information to the student . This approach about collaborating and explain lecture is the process of teaching given spoken explanation of the subjects . When the student talking with each other and listen to other points that’s mean they are learning by collaboration . Both of them gave student time to imagine evaluate and analyze . I think all the teacher used this approach because many of student have difficulty understanding . So , the inquiry based learning is benefits to teacher problem solving , critical thinkong skills , teachers students how to learn , builds self directed learning skills and develop student ownership of their inquiry . In the same way , it have many problem such as students decide what they need to learn in order to address the problem , they go to text books and other source to aquire knowledge of the areas that have relevance to the problem and they apply what they have learned to that particular problem .
