  4. 2009 - 10 Focus • Create an organizational structure for a learning college committee • Increase awareness of learning-centeredness and the learning college basic principles • Provide open forums to explore ways learning college principles could be applied at PC to promote learning and success

  5. 2010 – 11 Focus • Consultation with Dr. Terry O’Banion to devise next steps • Administered Learning College Survey to gather input from multiple campus groups • 9-Block Planning Model implemented to prioritize input from various surveys and forums • PC Learning Principles concept developed • 3-Tier Learning College Plan drafted

Nine-Block Model • Interactive facilitation technique • Encourages participants to focus and prioritize when choosing among multiple actions • Method to compare alternatives in relation to two common factors • Provides rationale to support decision-making • Assists in identifying two or three alternatives that rise to the top in relation to selected criteria • Helps team focus on the contribution of a priority or strategy more objectively
