  2. Rectilinear motion is motion in a straight line. • It can be horizontal, vertical (either up or down) or at an angle to the horizontal.

  3. Distance Traveled vs. Time • Distance traveled versus time for an object moving in a straight line with no change in either speed or direction. • We say that the object is moving with a constant acceleration.
