  5. Building Family Engagement Starts Early • Open Houses • Orientation • End of Year Ceremony • Summer Bridge • Senior Convocation

Creating the “WOW” • Parent Survey [what do parents need?] • Bi-monthly meetings • Saturday Mornings • Festival of Vendors (Employers, Healthcare providers, merchants, entrepreneurs) • Grade Cohorts and Houses • Every grade is responsible for production of an initiative for the school [talent show, annual family day picnic, etc.] • Raffle off great prizes [at end of meetings] • Open School Saturdays

  7. Rituals and Traditions • Thanksgiving Celebration / Alumni Day • Mothers Day • Fathers Day / Mentor Appreciation Day • Parent Volunteers for trips, College Tours and Eagle Week
