3. VALLE D’AOSTA- AOSTA VALLEY Aosta proviene dal nome della città Augusta Praetoria, fondata dall’imperatore romano Augusto. The name «Aosta» derives from the town «Augusta Praetoria» founded by the Roman emperor Augusto. PIEMONTE - PEDMONT Il nome ‘’Piemonte’’ deriva dall’espressione latina ‘’ad pedemmontium’’, perché situata ai piedi delle Alpi.
