  4. What is the past? • Yesterday • At 6 o’clock this morning • A long time ago • Just after I got up • When I was 4 years old • Last year • In January 2008

  5. Things to remember… • Normally… • We add ‘ed’ to verbs when we talk about the past. • We add ‘d’ to verbs ending in ‘e’. • A verb is an action word. A ‘doing’ word.

  24. Change the story to the past tense… After school I play with my pet dinosaur. I dance with him. I play football with him. I cook him some soup and use very big vegetables because he is always hungry. I love my dinosaur and always smile when we jump around the park! I like having a pet dinosaur so much!

They asked him a question about the homework. The good students answered the question. Mr Tom shouted at the naughty students. When they finished reading, they looked at the pictures.
