Class Offerings Leadership Education and 1 Credit Training I (LET I) Grades 11-12 Prerequisites: None 1st Block – Course – 18013000 2nd Block – Course – 18033000 Content: Includes Leadership-Theory In Life, Career, Health and Wellness, World Geography, and Citizenship and American History. Emphasis is placed on hands-on training and motivating cadets to excel in all undertakings. Leadership Education and 1 Credit Training II (LET II) Grades 11-12 Prerequistes: LET I 1st Block – Course – 18013100 2nd Block – Course – 18033100 Content: This course includes previously stated subjects in a more detailed manner with greater responsibility. Then, Cadets who have shown aptitude are placed in middle management positions. In drill ceremonies, JROTC II cadets function primarily as noncommissioned officers. ___________________________________ “H.O.P.E= JROTC” Leadership Education and 1 AP Credit Training III Grades 11-12 (LET III) Prerequisites: LET II 1st Block - Course – 18013200 2nd Block – Course – 18033200 Content: The third year of JROTC see cadets in high position of leadership such as Battalion Commander, Battalion Staff, Company Commanders, and Platoon Leaders. In the applied leadership phase, they are responsible for the proper functioning of the Cadet Corps. Techniques of communication, technology awareness are taught as advanced stages of previous years’ subjects. Its focus is reflected in its mission statement, “To motivate young people to be better citizens.” It prepares career center students for responsible leadership roles while making them aware of their rights, responsibilities, and privileges as American citizens. The program is a stimulus for promoting graduation from the career center, and it provides instruction and rewarding opportunities that will benefit the student, community, and nation. Examples of classes taught: Becomes an Active Learner Learning Style and Preferences Reading for Meaning Study Habits that Work for You Becoming a Better Listener, Writer, Speaker Thinking Maps Personal Growth Plan Goals and Goal Setting Time Management Self Awareness
