  1. CCPA Survey 2011 CCPA Officer MeetingThe Hague, 24 October 2011, Annette Friberg

  2. Survey method • Target group and method; to 275 CCPA members by email • Time period; 5/10 first consultation, 12/10 first reminder, 19/10 final reminder • Total responses; 131 representing a total response rate of 48% • Dependency; approx 300 (of total 600) partners of Europeana community have not been consulted

  3. Q 1 The CCPA is a network of experts across Europe, not just providers of content but also of technical, legal and strategic knowledge. To reflect this, and to emphasise the strategic relationship with Europeana, we propose to rename it as the ‘Europeana Network’.

  4. Q 2 The ‘Europeana Network’ is united by a common cultural mission to ‘work together to improve access to Europe’s Cultural Heritage in balanced and sustainable ways’. I support the strategic focus and the cultural mission of the ‘Europeana Network’.

  5. Q 3 The ‘Europeana Network’ will become the body responsible for setting and reviewing strategy. Much of the membership of the current CCPA participated in the creation of the Europeana Strategic Plan 2011-2015. The idea is that the ‘Europeana Network’ becomes responsible for reviewing this strategy and prioritising actions for Europeana for each year.

  6. Q 4 The ‘Europeana Network’ will continue to focus on the legal, ethical, financial, technical and user dimensions of the European Information Space and the wider Digital Agenda in Europe, but within this framework it will focus on 2-3 priority actions or agendas each year with the aim of achieving real progress in at least one of these.

  7. Q 5 Views will be solicited from the ‘Europeana Network’ members concerning the priority actions, which will be discussed at the Plenary each year.

  8. Q 6 Instead of maintaining 5 separate Working Groups, the Europeana Network will act as a distributed pool of knowledge, able to respond to strategic priorities and challenges set in the yearly Europeana Network Plenary meetings, or requested by Europeana.

  9. Q 7 Depending on the priority actions/agendas I would like to participate in the work that would need to be carried out. This will be at volunteer basis, Europeana to pay for any relating travels, in group of active members.
