  2. Where is Anzac Daycelebrated? It is celebrated in Australia and New Zealand.

  3. What food is eaten at Anzac Day? • Many people eat Anzac biscuits on Anzac Day. • People also eat the ‘Gunfire Breakfast’ which has bacon, sausages, eggs, beans, tomatoes, damper and tea. Rum is often added to coffee or milk. • Anzac toast is vegemite spread over hot toasted Turkish bread.

  4. Why is this festival celebrated? • Anzac Day is celebrated to remember the soldiers who died at Gallipolli in the First World War and other soldiers who died at war.

  5. How is Anzac Daycelebrated? • On Anzac Day servicemen and women return for a parade to remember loved ones who died at war. • A short service is held and here they read the Anzac dedication. • The dawn service finishes with a lone bugler sounding the last post a minute of silence in memory of those who have passed. • Poppies are worn on this day. • As well as the dawn service a mid morning service is also held it is similar to the dawn service.

  6. When is Anzac Daycelebrated? • Anzac Day is celebrated on the 25th of April.
