Things to know for your visit • Transportation- Bora Bora is served by Air Tahiti • Resort transport is either by private motorboats from the airport operated by some of the luxury resorts or by shuttle from Vaitape. • Bora Bora has few taxis and operates the public transit systems, the roads can be explored through hired excursion or rental car while the lagoon can be navigated by motorboat and outrigger canoe. Helicopters can also be hired for island tours.

  9. More information to know • Weather is great any time of year in Bora Bora, choose to travel when it is convenient for you. For example, in February the temperature is average of 30 degrees Celsius, converting to 86 degrees Fahrenheit • Time is 3 hours behind the U.S. • Languages spoken are French, Tahitian, and English • Currency is French Pacific Franc (abbreviated CFP Franc or simply XPF) The CFP Franc currency exchange rate is fixed with the Euro: 1 Euro = 119.26 CFP. Most major resorts will accept Euros and U.S. Dollars for resort services.

Terrorism and Safety • There is almost little to none in terrorism and safety on the island • There is very little water pollution • A visa is not required for your stay but a valid passport of 6 months is required • Visitors are not likely searched by customs • Tap water is safe to drink • There are no snakes, poisonous spiders or any land critters that can hurt or sting you. • You do not need immunization shots before vacationing
