Basement Waterproofing System Basement 3 Slab • Silica Fume concrete used • Xypex Concentrate DS2 added on surface prior to power floating providing waterproofing and abrasion resistance. • Slab thickness 700 to 1200 • Concrete G40 Xypex Concentrate DS2 Xypex is a unique chemical treatment for waterproofing and protection of concrete. The active chemicals react with moisture of fresh concrete causing a catalytic reaction which generates a non-soluble crystalline formation of dendritic fibres within the pores and capillary tracts of the concrete. Thus the concrete becomes permanently sealed against the penetration of water or liquids from any direction
