  2. Engage • Decide as a club to get involved in a project. a. As a result of a guest speaker. b. As a result of a member’s interest. c. As a partner with other clubs.

  3. What type of Project? 1. Domestic: In or around our backyard. 2. International: Anywhere in the world that Rotary is present.

  4. How Large is my Project? • Under 30,000.00/ Over 30,000.00 • Self-Fund or look for partners. • Is there District Funds available?

  5. If I’m Going to Get, I have to Give Has my club contributed to the Foundation? To be eligible to participate we must have give at least 50.00 per member (capita) in the previous year. If we have done more, we can ask for more (incentives).

  6. Who will Lead the Project • Club Member Involvement. • Third Party Driven • Partnering with another Rotary Club.

  7. Does the Project Qualify under the Terms & Conditions For Rotary Grants

  8. What is A District Grant • Short-term duration • Club Involvement • Local or International • Club Support (financial) • Application on District Webpage

  9. What is a Global Grant • Grant that exceeds 30K in budget. • Usually done Internationally. • International Partner a. Relationship b. Host becomes steward. c. Does club qualify?- Is club MOU trained and in good standing?

  10. Getting Started • Go to www.rotary.org • Log-On at “Member Access.” • Hit the Tab under Future Vision Rotary Grants 2013-14. • Take time to review some of the learning modules. Check out the bottom of the page for all the topics.

  11. Moving Forward • Hit the tab “explore grants.” Here you will find descriptions of the different grant programs available, some of the rules and some examples. • Next, go back and hit “Global Grants.” This will give you information specific to global grants. On the right side of the page activate the “start your grant.”

  12. Picking up Pace You get to the “Manage your Grant” page. Some may get to the start your grant page. Hit “start your grant” again and you’ll get to a page that starts with Rotarians are taking part in grants all over the world. Hit the tab on the left again for Global Grants.

  13. Who has or is Doing Grants in the District You now are at the page(s) that list the current on-going activity of the District. Here you will see information on Scholars and Projects. You can review an application to see how certain questions are answered. At the top you will see “start your grant” again. Hit on the tab.

  14. Ready, Set, Go! Look over each section in progression to start your grant: • Welcome • Overview • Activity types • Areas of focus • Sustainability • Review • Begin Your Application.
