Faugh • NYS Trooper for 26 years • US DOT MCSAP – NYS DOT Haz/Mat Specialist & Vehicle Insp. for 9 years. • NYSP “Special Operations” Trooper • On the scene of 380 Haz/Mat & Large Truck & Bus crashes while assigned to NYSP MCSAP Unit. • 48 Years Fire/EMS/Rescue - Rush Fire District - Chief officer for 10 yrs. • Dep. County EMS Coordinator 905 • NYS OFP&C, NYSDOH, NYBMP & MCFB Fire, Extrication & EMS Instructor

Objective of this presentation: • Identify some incidents with large vehicles, over the road busses, tractor-trailers and large machines (farm & construction) and the special procedures that may be required to manage them. • Scene safety for us and the public • Incident management and agency involvement • Mandated procedures that must be used at the incident • Candid info from those who were there and what they learned (July 2011 – Yates & Steuben Co.) • Best practices for these type situations
