Development Process of sample items sets • Preparation • Gather resources – passages, evidence statements, task models • Invite committee members – over 80 teachers from around AZ (math, science, social studies, and language arts teachers) • Item Development • Train members how to use tools to create, review, and edit items and item sets • Implementation • Create interactive and paper/pencil versions (math, informational, social studies, narrative, literary, and science) • Field test • Upload to ADE website

  4. PARCC Assessment Design Mathematics Master Claim: On-track for college and career readiness. Students solve grade-level/course-level problems in mathematics as set forth in the Standards for Mathematical Content with connections to the Standards for Mathematical Practice. Sub-Claim E: Students demonstrate fluency in areas set forth in the Standards for Content in grades 3-6
