  2. Tiger Form Factor • Tigersare big cats which has unique markings on them. Their body is full of light yellow to red hair, black to brown stripes. Different subspecies of tiger have different sizes; northern tigers are larger, lighter in color; southern tigers are smaller, darker in color. Tigers have yellow, round pupil. Hair color on the back of ear is black, with clear white. Some scientists think it helps the mother to follow cubs activities in the wild. Tiger has very powerful front and hind legs.

Tiger's habitat • Tigers are highly adaptive to the environment.Theirs distributed very wide,from siberian taiga to grassland to tropical swamp.They divide their habitat,and they live along.They need the large habitat for hunting animals. • Their distributed once a upon the time from Iraq and western Iran’s mesopotamia and caucasus to most areas of south Asia and east Asia,but now their habitat reduce badly.

Panthera tigris balica • It live in Indonesia’s bali,it is the most dense stripes tiger,it has over than 100 stripes,it is endangered in 1930,but the last Panthera tigris balica was killed in 1937. • Panthera tigris corbetti • Smaller than Panthera tigris tigris,it has 2.30-2.85m long,it live in Vietnam,Laos,Cambodia and Thailand,because of war,so the number reduced sharply.

Panthera tigris jacksoni • Live in Malay Peninsula’s southern Thailand,and Malaysia,it was recognized as Panthera tigris corbetti.In 2004,genetic analysis showed that it wasn’t Panthera tigris corbetti,but are more close to Panthera tigris sumatrae, Panthera tigris sondaica and Panthera tigris balica. • Panthera tigris sondaica • Live only in Indonesia’s the island of Java ,everyone thought it is extinct in 1980.

  16. ◎TIGER ＆ LION—LIGER,TIGON • The liger is a hybrid cross between a male lion (Panthera leo) and a tigress (Panthera tigris). Thus, it has parents with the same genus but of different species. It is distinct from the similar hybrid tiglon. It is the largest of all known cats and extantfelines.[1] • Ligers enjoy swimming, which is a characteristic of tigers, and are very sociable like lions. Ligers exist only in captivity because the habitats of the parental species do not overlap in the wild. Historically, when the Asiatic Lion was prolific the territories of lions and tigers did overlap and there are legends of ligers existing in the wild. Notably, ligers typically grow larger than either parent species, unlike tiglons which tend to be about as large as a female tiger.
