  1. The Benefits to Having a Wedding Band here’s a lot of planning that goes into planning a wedding. You’ll need to shop for the perfect attire, choose the dresses and suits for your wedding party, and search for the ideal caterer to provide food for the reception. You’ll also need to get an officiate and go to a few cake tastings to select the wedding cake that you’ll serve your guests. Of course, a big part of your wedding day is also the music. The song that is playing when you walk down the aisle or have the first dance with your spouse is very special, and choosing the right musicians for the job can be a challenging task. Here are some of the ways that you can narrow down your choices and find the right professionals to provide your wedding music. When you have a live band at your wedding and reception, there’s a good chance that you’ll have some unexpected moments that will make the music more memorable. For instance, if one of the musicians in the band does a riff or solo that makes the crowd go wild, your friends and family are more likely to remember this. You can also request that the band play songs that are of special significance to you and your spouse, such as songs that are culturally important, or the first song that the two of you danced to. If you’re going with a live band, consider hiring a singer with the band as well. Or, ask if some of the musicians also sing. This can add another element of entertainment to the musical aspect of your nuptials and breaks up the monotony of having a band play instrumental selections. You can hire the soloist to sing a special song as you enter the wedding venue or to sing the words to the song you’ve chosen for your first dance. Or, you can hire the singer to have a concert at the reception that your friends and loved ones will enjoy. Once you’ve chosen the location for the wedding, it may be easier for you to decide what you’re going to do about the music. If you’ve got limited space, it may be better to hire a DJ, since this is only one person and you won’t have to accommodate an entire band. A DJ may not charge as much as a live band, and it won’t take as much effort for the DJ to switch between slow and fast songs at the reception. You can also hire a singer to perform the T

No matter the music you choose for your wedding day, make sure that your choice(s) reflect your personality and style. Listen to the DJ or band a few times before hiring them to make sure that the sound fits with the type of wedding you’ve planned. This is a day you’ll likely never forget, so include all the elements you want to make sure that your wedding is as special as you want it to be.
