  1. How to Extend the Durability of Your Bridal Airbrush Tan If you are getting married in the summer or during other warm months of the year, you may be considering some beach time during your honeymoon. There’s no better way to show off your curves and beautiful skin than by getting an airbrush tan. Tanning gives the skin a rich dark colour that leaves you looking beautiful, not just on your wedding day but also during the honeymoon. Unfortunately, if you don’t maintain your tan, it won’t last a week. Here are some valuable tips on how to ensure that your bridal airbrush tan lasts until your honeymoon.

  2. Exfoliate First Exfoliating is an essential step if you want your tan to last. It involves gently scrubbing the skin to get rid of dead skin cells. Exfoliated skin is smooth, and this makes the tan formula to go on smoothly with no streaks and nasty lines. As a result, the tan lasts longer as well. Invest in a gentle body exfoliating product and use it on your whole body at least one or two days before getting the tan. You can also have a homemade body scrub made from honey and sugar. Whichever product you use, be easy on the skin; don’t scrub too much to aggravate it. Go Makeup-Free Women love their makeup and skincare products. Therefore, it is no surprise that you will go to get your tan while wearing foundation, body oils, sunscreen, and other products. These products can undermine the results of the tan and cause it not to last long. Skincare and makeup products, especially the oil-based ones, create a barrier between your skin and the tan formula. The temporary barrier makes it easy for the tan to wash away as you shower or swim. Therefore, don’t use any makeup or oils on the day you get your bridal airbrush tan if you want it to last long. Don’t Shave or Wax After No one wants to go on their honeymoon with hair on their legs, hands, or pubic area. However, getting shaved or waxed after your tan is not a good idea. As the hair comes off, it will remove some of the colour. The results will be ugly patches of uneven tone all over the shaved or waxed areas. If you intend to wax or shave, do it before getting the tan. In fact, you should do it several days before to allow your skin to recover from the sensitivity. Wash Gently You want your tan to last at least a week or more during your honeymoon. Therefore, avoid any excess scrubbing as it can wash off some of the tan. Don’t exfoliate either because the dead skin will come off with some of the tan as well. Shower with gentle body washes and use a soft washcloth – avoid the loofah. After a swim or shower, pat your skin dry. Do not rub the towel against your body as this can cause exfoliation.

  3. Final Thoughts An airbrush tan is a must-have for any bride who intends to show off their beautiful body during the honeymoon. However, most tans barely last five days. Follow these tips when getting your airbrush tan so that it can last a week or more. Don’t forget to slather on some sunscreen when going out in the sun—tanning products don’t offer UV protection.
