Lessons Learned • Centralized organization and core diversity functions critical to our success and value • The value of diversity is deeper than individuals; corporate world is well ahead of academia • Creative, forward thinking important, translating national initiatives locally; status quo is no longer acceptable • Focus on larger context and relate diversity interests and goals to institutional priorities • Integrated / collaborative approaches will be essential • Draw on colleagues for expertise, guidance and support
