ADSW COMMITMENTS • To publish ‘A Life Changed’ DVD. 1000 copies circulated. • 3 key seminars: 25 September 20 November Early 2009 • Personalisation • Risk • Workforce Development • ADSW Lecture – Glasgow City Chambers February 2009 • ADSW Meetings with Chairs of LPF 11 September 2008 • Establish a Public Relations Strategy Working Group met 26 August.

  9. PURPOSE • Build a more cohesive sector. • Opportunities to act as stakeholders. • Consultation forums on key issues. • Improve communications up and down. • Localising PR strategy. • How Social Work contributes to the National Outcomes.

  10. PUBLIC RELATIONS STRATEGY • Working with Scottish Government, SSSC and Association of Social Care Communicators. • Recruitment of agency. • ADSW committing significant resources. • National Strategy, locally delivered.

PURPOSE • To develop and implement a short, mid and longer term strategy to better inform the public. • Consistent approach. • Agree key messages across the sector. • Long lasting impact. • 3 key messages from Changing Lives: • Doing more of the same won’t do. • Social Work Services don’t have all the answers. • Making the best use of our skills.
