The Taj Mahal is in Agara,india, about 200 hundred kilometres north of Delhi,the capital.It is one of the most buildings in the world.It is built by Shah Jahan,one of the great Moghul emperors,in memory of his beautiful wife,Mumtaz Mahal,who died in 1631AD.Shah Jahan loved his wife very much but she died when she was giving birth to her first child.The emperor was heart-broken and she decided to build a tomb for her so that people would always remember her name.The building work began in 1631 and was finished 20 years later .More than 20,000 workers and craftsmen helped to build The Taj Mahal which is made of white marble.It is surrounded by beautiful gardens. ,

The Tower of London is one of the oldest buildings in London standing on the north bank of the River Thames.Building work started in the the 11th century and took more than 200 years to finish.The Tower was the royal palace but it was also,at one time, a prison for dangerous criminals.Nowadays it is a museum and thousands of tourists visit it every year.The most famous jewels in the Tower are the Crown Jewels.
