  2. Plan • The “Plan” section helps you prepare for your college education. Here you will find information about the individual colleges, a map of their campus locations, a summary of program types, and a section designed to assist and inform your parents.

  3. Did you know? The $95 application fee is non-refundable. You can make 5 program choices, with no more than 3 choices at any one college.

  4. Who does what? OCAS: – Processes applications and confirmations (acceptances) and forwards information to the colleges. HIGH SCHOOL: – Provides OCAS with your personal and academic information. YOU: – Apply to college through OCAS. – Pay the application fee of $95. – Confirm acceptance of an offer through OCAS. – Go to college!

  19. Need Assistance Need Assistance? If you have an IEP or need support services they are available. It is your responsibility to find out about them. You will need to contact the Counselling and Disabilities Department at the college of your choice regarding your IEP and/or Psycho-educational Report before you get an offer to see what is required. http://www.neads.ca/en/norc/edlink/ (set up IEP assistance in first year)

  20. Financial Assistance • Scholarship information is available in the guidance office • OSAP site available for application in Spring • (When filling in the Financial Aid section of the application choose “not sponsored” if applying for OSAP, Bursaries or Scholarships)

Frequently asked questions… • Question: • Are there any important dates to keep in mind? • Answer: • February 1, 2013All applications received by this date will be given equal consideration by the colleges. This is also the earliest date the colleges will issue an offer of acceptance and the earliest date an applicant may confirm an offer. • May 1, 2013 • Applicants must confirm their acceptance of an offer of admission by this date. (Note: Offers may be issued after this date, check your offer letter for details.) • June 17, 2013Earliest date colleges may require tuition. You may want to print off a checklist to help you.
